Featuring Anna Petrova, piano and Jeremías Sergiani-Velázquez, violin
Praised for her “artistic, clear and enlightened” performances (BBC Magazine) of “technical brilliance and complete emotional engagement” (Fanfare Magazine), Bulgarian concert pianist Anna Petrova performs extensively around the globe as both soloist and chamber musician. She has been the recipient of top honors and awards at numerous competitions internationally, including the Queen Elizabeth and Jose Roca Competitions, among many others.
Violinist Jeremías Sergiani-Velázquez has performed classical, contemporary, and tango music around the world. As soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer, he has been heard in16 countries across four continents. In 2021, he was appointed Principal Second Violin of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
Petrova and Sergiani-Velázquez combine for a powerhouse concert titled “Groundbreakers”, including works by Jon Cziner, César Franck, Lily Boulanger, Florence Price & George Meyer.
Music at the Mansion is an arts and cultural collaboration with the intent of offering chamber music of the highest artistic quality accessibly, while sharing the history and beauty of one of Ridgefield’s most treasured landmarks. Additional 2023-2024 performances on the grounds and in the mansion will take place on Sundays, August 20th, December 10th and January 28th.
